Introduction to Acrylics classes are frequently offered at the Boulder Art Gallery, 960 Main St. in Fitchburg.  I'm currently accepting registration for classes to begin on Monday evenings, 6:30-9PM, in October. 

The schedule:

Week 1 - Learn the vast range of colors possible from a split primary palette.  We'll make a color chart.   A brief demo of using the brushes will be given.

Week 2 - Learn to use acrylic painting mediums and a variety of painting grounds.  We'll create four small paintings, same subject, each with a different look.

Week 3 - We'll explore applying paint with a painting knife.  A landscape will be completed in class on a previously prepared masonite panel.

Week 4 - Using a reference photo (provided) I'll walk you through the steps necessary to paint a landscape on a canvas panel.

The cost for the 4 lessons is $60 plus the materials package.  I've put together the brushes, acrylic paints, and the painting grounds we'll use in the lessons.  All other materials used in class will be provided by me.
