The Stone House Remembered
Acrylic on stretched canvas, 2009.
Coggshall Park in October of 2008, when the color was at its peak, provided a grand setting for the beloved building. Everyone who knows the park is familiar with the stone house which sat like a queen overlooking Mirror Lake.
News of the fire in January of 2009 left a sadness in the hearts of many.
The original painting was awarded the "Popular Prize" at the Fitchburg Art Museum's 74th Regional Exhibition. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this original painting will be donated to the fund to rebuild the Stone House.
Limited edition giclee prints on canvas are now available through the Boulder Art Gallery in Fitchburg (978-345-7000). A percentage of the sale of the prints will benefit the Stone House rebuilding fund as well.
