Light and Shadow at High Ridge, Westminster

(Acrylic on stretched canvas, 2008) This painting is currently on exhibit at The Boulder Art Gallery in Fitchburg, MA. (See Links) My favorite painting location at High Ridge Wildlife Management Area, Westminster, continues to inspire me. This particular scene in the late afternoon at High Ridge was attention-grabbing. The craggy, yet thriving, maple tree was in the spotlight as the sun spread its warmth over the trunk and flourishing limbs. It stood like a sentinel directing me to enter into the serene, cool shelter of the shadowed path.
