I was suprised by the light and color as we headed home following the Pre-school art show we'd attended to see my granddaughter's handiwork. Entering downtown Fitchburg from Mechanic Street never looked so appealing. I have to admit, when I'm in a city, any city, the only thing I notice is bricks and mortar, sidewalks, people, traffic and street corners. On this day in early May I saw so much more and was compelled to tell about it with my paints and brushes. There is SKY over Fitchburg! I looked up and there it was in all its glory, casting evening light on old buildings and washing everything in a colorful splendor. I was delighted with the vista.
